About Gregg

Gregg Gonzales is a Chief Schools Officer at Attuned Education Partners, where he partners with senior school and system leaders to design and implement equity-driven, research-based strategies that improve student outcomes. Under Gregg’s leadership, many multi-year partnerships have aligned on vision and met ambitious improvement targets. His work ranges from guiding the design of school models to building instructional leadership systems and strengthening organizational capacity, always tailored to each partner’s unique context. At Attuned, Gregg has partnered with more than two dozen school systems to strengthen leadership capacity, align on clear priorities, and improve outcomes for historically underserved students. In a Denver system, he supported leaders in building strong instructional systems—resulting in more academic growth than any other system in the Denver/Aurora area and 90%+ schools rated “green” on Colorado’s School Performance Framework.

Career Summary

Prior to joining Attuned, Gregg served as the Vice President of Schools for DSST Public Schools in Denver, supervising and coaching principals and the principal manager team. During this time, the organization was awarded the Broad Prize for Public Charter Schools for the most outstanding student achievement in the country. Before joining DSST, Gregg was an Instructional Superintendent for Denver Public Schools, where he drove academic achievement for innovation schools and partnered with high performing schools to replicate successful models. Gregg was a principal for 6 years, leading his charter school to Distinguished status. Before that, Gregg taught in Denver and Nashville.

Education, Awards & Fellowships

Gregg holds an M.A. in Educational Leadership from the University of Denver. He completed The Principal Center program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and was a Ritchie Fellow.

My Why

Gregg’s commitment to education comes from his lived experiences. As a student, Gregg knew what it felt like to sit in a classroom and not see a path forward, and he also saw how education failed to serve members of his family. Gregg saw firsthand that our school systems too often fall short for the students who need them most—but he also believes that education can open doors, create opportunities, and ultimately provide access to a choice-filled life.

What Brings Me Joy

Gregg enjoys spending time with his family outdoors and rock climbing in the mountains.
