About Marie

As a Chief Strategy Officer at Attuned Education Partners, Marie Huxley leads strategic planning, organizational redesign, and instructional implementation partnerships with K-12 public school systems. She works alongside system leaders to increase their impact by leveraging their strengths, creating focus, and employing continuous improvement cycles. At Attuned, Marie has led multi-year partnerships transitioning from strategic planning to implementation support, resulting in increased student achievement across partnered school systems by building capacity, aligning structures, and centering student experiences.

Career Summary

Previously, Marie was the Chief of Schools at KIPP Public Schools Northern California leading the Academics, School Culture, Special Education and Principal Supervision teams serving 17 elementary, middle and high schools. During her tenure, Marie set and led regional priorities with proven strategies to launch and operate joyful and academically excellent schools, which were among the highest-performing open-enrollment public schools in their local school districts and across the state. Prior to KIPP, Marie held both school and district leadership roles in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she improved outcomes for students furthest from opportunity. She began her career as a high school Social Studies and Spanish teacher in Los Angeles.

Education, Awards & Fellowships

Marie holds a B.A. in Political Science and Government from the University of California, Santa Barbara, an M.Ed. from UCLA’s Teacher Education Program, and an M.A. in Educational Administration from San Francisco State University. She has completed the National Principal Supervisors Academy through Relay Graduate School of Education.

My Why

Marie sees education as a key lever to combat racial injustice and create opportunity for those who have been historically marginalized. She has a deeply personal and professional mission for all students to finish high school prepared and inspired to create fulfilled lives and build a more just world.

Marie enjoys running, playing tennis, and spending time with family.
