My Why

Sara believes deeply that robust literacy skills are foundational to unlocking opportunities for all students, especially those furthest from opportunity. Throughout her experience as a student, teacher and system leader, she has seen both the profound impact of literacy and the deep inequities in schools. She is driven by the belief that with quality instruction rooted in strong materials, all students can be thriving readers, writers, and communicators.

What Brings Me Joy

Sara loves spending time outdoors, perfecting her gelato and bread recipes, and traveling to over 40 countries and counting.
